dark souls what to do after four kings

Because Mangiacapra is a animate being.

Also, use Fe Mankind. It makes the fight like shooting fish in a barrel.

Attempt to get the about damaging weapon you can- the Gravelord Greatsword was my personal pick due to the high normal damage, but there are other options out there. Try to get a set with a decent magic resist and a high poise, but I'd advise confronting making yourself too slow. Merely go to them as quickly as you can, two hand your weapon, and proceed to swing with reckless abandon. Their normal sword strikes will rarely practice too much damage, only if they do, heal and keep attacking. Call up of information technology equally a race to do enough damage to impale a King off before the next can appear, and you'll be ready.

@Make_Me_Mad:I hadn't considered the two handed weapon selection, I'll give that a shot. I'k having trouble judging the altitude on hitting the start King with my spear and seem to end upwardly getting grabbed, past which fourth dimension the residue of them aren't likewise far away.

Summon people or summon the ghost behind the piller to the right. Or merely get get the crystal ring shield and throw it. Hes quite piece of cake

@The_Laughing_Man:Yeah that ghost witch does nowt, I did consider summoning other people but the two times I attempted I got invaded. I'grand sure I'grand just being fucking retarded as everything so far although stressful hasn't exactly been impossible as long as I'm patient.

She tin draw fire. Attacks. Just go become some people to assistance ya. If you lot really demand to. Just use that Iron flesh stuff. Thats how I beat Nito the first fourth dimension lol.

Basically, ignore defense and evasion and simply go hog wild on the first male monarch. Get right up next to him and his sword swings will barely tickle you. The only attacks that will deal harm are the grab and the magic AoE, then but heal after those and go dorsum to spamming your 2-handed attacks on him. The whole fight is just a harm race. If you can kill each king before the next one reaches yous, it doesn't get very dangerous.

PS3 or xbox? If I have a character in that range, I'll assist. Also if you have a fire weapon or whatever pyromancy, they're pretty weak to fire. Power Within (from Blightown) got me through them on NG+. Too try using a shield with high magic resist.

Put on the heaviest armor you have, you need to be similar a tank for this fight. I went lightening spear with some crazy heavy armor. you lot just gotta burn each one down as fast as possible

Pretty much this. I wore Havel'south gear, grabbed every bit many estus' as possible then brutal into the abyss. There's no for your character to be fluid in the fight and so being unable to coil is fine. For the well-nigh part I two-handed my weapon and let his attacks hit me(As they decimate your stamina). Summoning more allies increases their total wellness by ~50% so keep that in mind, and in that location is a time lapse of about ~30 seconds before another king spawns. Levelled up combustion too does a number on them.

Pretty much this. The 4 Kings were a complete fucking hassle for me until I realized that defending/blocking was an absolute waste matter. Held my weapon 2-handed (I believe I had Queelag's Furysword at this point) and only wailed on them, simply healing when it was admittedly necessary.

Likewise, effort your best to continue your fights 1 v ane if possible. Two kings is bearable, merely more than that information technology tin get ridiculously hard. The style I did it though was to go along my shield upwards at all times, rolling abroad from whatsoever moves that look like grabs, or that purpley-sphere move and to not effort anything fancy. Some good onetime D'

If y'all've not notwithstanding beaten 4kings, heres the easiest, merely by no ways 'all-time' method of killing them.

Equip downwardly until yous have the highest possible speed available, armour and resistances are worthless in this fight if y'all stand up in the right spot because their blade never hits you lot. Have the grass crest shield on your back and your hardest hitting weapon 2handed. Do Not summon the witch, she makes the 4kings have about 3 times every bit much health and does zippo to help.

Land in the Completeness, charge into the first rex, ringlet left to avert if they go to lunge or downswing, roll forwards through sideswings until you're correct up in his business. At present hack until he dies. The only attacks you demand to be aware of are the grab and the explosion, both of which accept a glow or aura around the king before he uses it.

The reason being right under the king is best is because he cant hit you lot with his sword, but his artillery. The sword causes the damage that spoils your mean solar day, the arm hits for a small chunk and can be healed betwixt kills.

Hope that helps duder

i used my black knight sword+v and each rex took 2, 2 handed swipes all the lords were jokes imo particularly the undead one who i killed while in toxic country due to thosse lame infant skeletons

Avatar image for noobsauceg7

Use Iron Flesh and you lot tin can assail them while they are disappearing so keep attacking.

Avatar image for johnnyh

I concur with the posters above ( @Chippy180 and ) put on your heaviest armor (Havel'south if yous got it), Havel's ring, two hand your all-time weapon and become straight at them.

Good luck.

( I believe the witch can't exist summoned unless y'all summoned her previously for Moonlight Butterfly. Besides Fe Flesh was patched and isn't as useful now?)

Enjoy information technology while information technology lasts, if you thought they were hard on NG, you're in for a globe of injure in NG+. Hardest boss in NG+ is them.

Avatar image for jjor64

I just used my best heavy armor and my best two-handed weapon and merely went in. If you have the Rite to kindle your fire further, that would be helpful.

Avatar image for vandersexxx

Question is it withal possible to help other players in coop within the same expanse if you take already killed the area boss? Cause nobody seems to summon me when ever I leave my summon sign in there.

Avatar image for jacksukeru

I have made a bunch of characters (yet take only finished the game with 1 of them so far) and 4 Kings is always the boxing I'm looking least forward to. I've beat out them maybe four times now and it hasn't gotten whatever less bothersome only slightly easier, practiced thing though of when I do vanquish them I feel like the rest of the game will be cake.

@VanderSEXXX: Yep beating the dominate doesn't bear upon your power to be summoned by people who have not yet killed it. You're probably just unlucky or are in the incorrect level range.

Avatar image for doe3879

Run correct in front on him 2 handed and hit him with all you got til your stamina is drained.
Use the green grass at the start to help regain stamina faster.
The four king sword swing seem to practise minimal damage when you close to him, only keep on attacking and don't bother with dodging.

Yes apparently if you lot stand existent close to him only his arms striking yous and not the sword. The artillery practice minimal damage whereas you really take a bath on those sword hits, especially in NG+.

Avatar image for cyraxible

Yes, the golden rule of Dark Souls: Stick close to the boss since they're most deadly at a distance holds true to the four kings. I think that this dominate fight requires a little bit more of an offensive tactic because if you lollygag also long y'all'll get messed upward by the other kings.

Honestly I constitute that one time I just decided to stop playing it charily on that boss boxing I did muuuuch better. I tried twice to summon people but that surface area before the boss is the absolute worst merely ended up doing okay alone subsequently spending 30 minutes trying to observe a summon sign.

general rule of dark souls: if it didn't piece of work the first five times, it probably won't work the side by side xx times

I'grand about to head in to New Londo Ruins for the kickoff fourth dimension, later today. Is there anything I peculiarly need to know before venturing out (have already stocked upwardly on some curses).

I'm hoping to exist done with my outset playthrough in a day or two. (all the same have the Four Kings, Centipede, Bed of Chaos and last boss to go).

Edit - Nvm, the ruins were very easy to get through.

Avatar image for godak

Look, wait...summoning people makes bosses stronger? It didn't seem that mode with any other fights, but I tin believe information technology with the 4 Kings. I tried solo and failed, but I had him below 1/4th of his life. I tried summoning 2 guys (well, they could be girls, IDK) in to assistance, and all of us wailing on the first king did practically nothing. We were swarmed and killed in short order. Not even 1/4th of his life was taken away. And nosotros were all following the 2-handed wailing strategy.

Without a doubt it's the least fun I've had so far. At to the lowest degree Biggy Smalls was tough but FUN. You had 2 very distinct foes with separate styles of attack. You found the opportunity where they were both paused, and you took that moment to set on. The epic music helped, I'll admit.

Hither, information technology's only the same unimaginative (yes, Dark Souls can exist unimaginative...meet Blighttown, Valley of Defilement 2.0) enemy cloned.

Avatar image for xxxlynchxxx

Congrats on beating them. I am currently getting raped in one-half by them in NG+...

Avatar image for strikealight

Took me a couple of attempts to crush them.

You just need to as close upward in their grill as possible, and pray they don't use their magic wail attack also often. The beginning fourth dimension I tried using Iron flesh, simply it really became a hindrance, since I couldn't move in on the next target fast enough without beingness devastated by their powerful ranged attacks.

Queelag Sword +five, Havel's armour and Ring of F&P helped also.

I'll exist facing them again presently on NG+ ; ;

Avatar image for deactivated-5e28dbaa07135

I've no idea why I didn't find them nearly every bit difficult as other people seem to, only I found that Havel's shield and armour came in real handy with blocking their attacks, then long every bit you don't take as well long with getting in their face when you become the chance.

Avatar image for coinop25

I tried to kill these bosses peradventure 5-10 times using the advice on wikis about loading up with high-poise armor and periodically casting Iron Flesh. I got ruled every time. Finally I decided to skip that and just play similar I normally play, jumping effectually to dodge attacks and 2-handing, and I got them on my third effort after two close calls. I much prefer fugitive getting hit at all over slowing myself down and taking a pounding. Don't forget to swallow some Light-green Blossom, put Grass Crest Shield on your back, and enchant your weapon with Charcoal Resin first.

Avatar image for godak

I went the Havel's Armor/"Who the fuck needs speed?" road. I summoned in a phantom and we but wailed on them, damage be damned. We won pretty easily. While that method makes the quartet easy equally cheese cake, I still think they are the least fun boss to fight. In that location is but null interesting going on. I am continuing on to the Knuckles's Archives, and it sure is squeamish to exist playing a fun Dark Souls once more.
